Kelly and Vahaken brought the heat to an otherwise very cold adventure session. We began our adventure traveling by gondola to the trailhead. The ride up was absolutely gorgeous. I wish I had taken my camera out but we were squished 6 people to a car and honestly I was too mesmerized by the view and taking in the moment to think about grabbing my camera. It was the most amazing view climbing up into the clouds, cows walking around in the pastures below us. We had to hike about a mile to get to this alpine lake. We walked through flower fields galore and saw (and heard) so many cows with their iconic Switzerland bells on. Right as we got to the trailhead Kelly and Vahaken started getting ready…and it started hailing (!!!!!) on us. Freezing, cold, hard hail. We laughed it off but were pretty sad because the epic view of Shrekhorn was completely covered by clouds. As the hail stopped we decided we were going to take photos anyway, we did come all this way, and the view of the other mountains were still epic. As we kept shooting the sun decided to come out, warmed us right up, and the clouds cleared so that we got our iconic view after all. These two got muddy, waded in the water, and picked flowers in one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. We love mother nature !!! <3
