Stephanie and Wesson (from Missouri!!) came to Telluride and wanted epic elopement photos with waterfalls and a small hike. We woke up for sunrise and began our 4 mile hike to see not one, not two, but three amazing waterfalls. This hike is short but pretty strenuous (don’t underestimate the elevation if you are from out of town!). We walked over and through rocks, streams, and bridges. We stopped several times along the way to explore the different waterfalls, chat and catch our breath. I love being able to spend multiple hours with my couples, asking questions and getting to know them in between taking photos. We had the trail and waterfalls all to ourselves. The wind from the water cooled us off quickly. I love that Stephanie was open to letting the train of her dress drag in the water and get a little dirty. By the end of our hike her dress told the story of the day. It held bits of the earth in its crevices as a reminder of everything we had been through on our journey. The miles we had walked and the earth’s beautiful wonders we were able to witness that day. The wildflowers were growing strong and the views on the way down overlooking the valley and town below were stunning. I am so happy to have been a part of this journey with these two, hiking, making memories and taking beautiful photos along the way.
